Where site conditions permit, trenchless methods may reduce the amount of excavation required compared with traditional open-cut pipe replacement. Whether a line is a candidate can only be confirmed after inspection.
Trenchless repair works through existing access points or a limited number of small pits rather than opening the full length of the pipe run. When the surrounding conditions, pipe alignment and pipe condition allow it, this can mean less disturbance to driveways, walkways and landscaping. It is not suitable for every line.
CIPP pipe lining
Cured-in-place pipe lining is a rehabilitation method in which a resin-saturated liner is installed inside the existing pipe and cured to form a new interior surface. For certain types of damage it may restore a line without completely excavating and removing it. Collapsed or badly misaligned pipes generally cannot be lined.
UV pipe lining repair
UV-cured lining uses light to cure the liner rather than heat or ambient time. Like other lining methods, suitability depends on the diameter, condition and layout of the existing pipe.
Sewer line replacement
When a sewer line is severely deteriorated, collapsed or has lost its shape, replacement is often the more realistic option. We assess the run, discuss what replacement would involve and compare it against any repair alternatives that apply to the line.
